Here you will find everything technical about the QET software (QET SaaS): how it is built, what you need for it and how to use each function step by step.

1 · Technical description

Web application (SaaS)
QET SaaS runs entirely in the browser at app.qet-compass.com. You do not need to install or maintain anything. We roll out new functions centrally, so you always work with the latest version.
Usable like an app
On a computer, tablet or smartphone, you can add QET SaaS to your home screen like an app (Progressive Web App). Content is deliberately not stored offline, so you never see outdated results.
Measurement method
Each criterion is rated through 3 statements with a slider from 0 to 100. The value of a criterion is the average of its statements. The value of a pillar is the average of its criteria. The QET Index is the average of the three pillars Quality, Ethics and Transparency. With the materiality analysis, important criteria count double and unimportant ones count half.
Test types
QETcheck (9 randomly selected criteria), QETscan (21 criteria, 7 per pillar), QETaudit (all 60+1 criteria), pillar test (only Quality, Ethics or Transparency) and management field test (one of the 7 management fields, for example leadership or finance). All test types are free of charge.
Anonymity and data protection
Participants answer via a personal invitation link or the open survey link, without their own account. Each person sees only their own result. The company sees only aggregated values, and only from 3 responses, so nobody can identify individual answers.
Security
All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as a secure hash, never in plain text. Login works via a signed session cookie.
Languages
The interface, the survey and the videos of the QET Masterclass are available in 40 languages. You can change the language at the top of every page. Some new texts may temporarily appear in English.
Interfaces
In the paid plan for companies: CSV export, employee import from SAP SuccessFactors or SAP S/4HANA, export of results as a signed message to an address you specify, and login via SAP (SAP Identity Authentication Service). The QET team sets up the SAP connection for each company and tests it together with your SAP team. Other ERP systems are currently not connected.
Use of AI
The QET Assistant answers your questions about implementation with the help of artificial intelligence and relies on the QET content. The videos of the QET Masterclass are created with AI avatars. The QET system itself was developed by people.
Authenticity of credentials
The QET Index badge, the QET Index certificate and the audit certificate each have a public verification page. There, anyone can check via link or QR code whether a credential is genuine and valid.

2 · Technical requirements

You only need an up-to-date browser and an internet connection. No installation, administrator rights or ERP system are required.

Device

  • Computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone
  • Screen from smartphone size upwards, all pages adapt automatically

Browser

  • Current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari
  • JavaScript and cookies enabled (for login)

Internet

  • Stable internet connection
  • For the videos of the QET Masterclass, a standard broadband or mobile connection is sufficient

For your IT department

  • Allow these addresses in your firewall and filters: app.qet-compass.com and qet.de
  • For the videos of the QET Masterclass: player.vimeo.com
  • Allow e-mails from QET so that invitations, reminders and monthly reports arrive

Only with SAP connection

  • API access with read permission for employee data (SAP SuccessFactors or SAP S/4HANA)
  • For login via SAP: an application registered in SAP Identity Authentication Service
  • A target address in your system for exporting the results

3 · User manual

Each function in short steps: WHERE you click and HOW you proceed. You will find the software menu at the top, below the header bar.

01 Create an account

For: Everyone

    HOWChoose “Just for me” or “For my team / company”.

  2. WHERERegistration form

    HOWEnter your name, e-mail address and password and submit. You are taken straight to your dashboard.

02 Log in, password, log out

For: Everyone

  1. WHEREapp.qet-compass.com/login

    HOWEnter your e-mail address and password and log in.

  2. WHERELogin page, “Forgot password” link

    HOWEnter your e-mail address, open the link in the e-mail and set a new password.

  3. WHERECircle with your initials at the top right

    HOWChoose “Log out”.

03 Change language

For: Everyone

  1. WHEREHeader bar at the top right, language selector (for example “EN”)

    HOWSelect a language. It applies immediately, also to the automatic e-mails.

04 Take a test

For: Everyone

  1. WHERE“Overview” menu, “Start new test” button

    HOWChoose a test type: QETcheck, QETscan, QETaudit, pillar test or management field test.

  2. WHEREIn the test

    HOWFor each statement, set the slider between “Not at all true” and “Fully true”, then click “Next”.

  3. WHEREIn the test

    HOWYou can pause at any time. Your answers are saved. The next time you open the test, you continue where you left off.

  4. WHEREAt the end of the test

    HOWClick “Show results & submit”. Your result appears immediately and can be printed or saved as PDF.

05 Overview and cockpit

For: Everyone

  1. WHERE“Overview” menu

    HOWAt the top you see the cockpit: the QET Index as a gauge, the three pillars, the history of your tests, participation, a traffic light for each criterion and your goals.

  2. WHEREBefore the first test

    HOWThe cockpit shows greyed-out sample values. From your first test onwards, it shows your real values.

  3. WHEREList of your tests

    HOWOpen an earlier test to see it in detail, or choose “Test this area again” to measure your progress.

06 Invite your team

For: Account owner, company account

  1. WHERE“Team” menu, “Invitation link and QR code” section

    HOWCopy the open link, or download the QR code or print it as a notice. Anyone with the link can take part anonymously.

  2. WHERE“Team” menu, “Invite several people” section

    HOWEnter one person per line (e-mail only, “Name <E-mail>” or “Name; E-mail; Department”) and, if you wish, tick “Send invitation by e-mail”.

  3. WHERE“Team” menu, “Invited people” list

    HOWTrack participation and click “Remind” if needed. Automatic reminders are sent after 3 and 7 days.

  4. WHERE“Team” menu

    HOWIn the paid plan, you see the team result from 3 responses and receive the sharing link for the team dashboard, the analysis by department and the CSV export.

    HOWSwitch the report by e-mail on or off: once a month with the QET Index, participation, actions and next steps.

07 Actions and strategy

For: Everyone

    HOWView suggestions for your weakest criteria and save your strategic direction as a short text.

    HOWEnter a title, a description if you wish, a target date and a link to a criterion, then save. You set the status to Open, In progress or Done.

    HOWOpen your goals as a handout, print them or save them as PDF.

08 Materiality analysis

For: Account owner

  1. WHERE“Materiality” menu, “Set the importance of each criterion” section

    HOWRate each criterion as Important, Neutral or Unimportant. Important counts double, Unimportant counts half.

    HOWThe matrix compares importance and result. The “Priorities” list shows where you should act first, with a link to the actions.

09 QET® Masterclass (video course)

For: Everyone

    HOWOpen one of the 60+1 micro-courses. “Recommended for you” shows the courses for your weakest criteria.

    HOWChoose the language of the videos, independently of the interface language.

    HOWClick “Mark as watched” to see your progress. Free access includes 3 trial lessons, the paid plan includes all courses.

10 myQET Community

For: Everyone

    HOWAdd the coaches, trainers, consultants and event organisers you have worked with. Only the name is required.

  2. WHEREFor each contact

    HOWRecord which criteria the person helped you with. You can find new experts in the QET Marketplace on qet.de.

11 Report (audit handbook)

For: Everyone

  1. WHERE“Report” menu

    HOWThe business report is created automatically from your results: overall result, all criteria in detail and recommendations for action.

    HOWPrint the report or save it as PDF.

12 QET® Assistant

For: Everyone

  1. WHERE“Assistant” menu

    HOWType your question about implementation and send it. The answer names suitable criteria and links to courses of the QET Masterclass and to the marketplace.

13 QET® Index badge and certificate

For: Account owner, paid plan

  1. WHERE“QET Index badge” menu

    HOWDownload your badge as PNG or SVG, or copy the embed code and paste it into your website. The embed code always shows your current index.

    HOWShare the link to the verification page. There, anyone can check that your badge is genuine and your subscription is active.

    HOWFrom a QET Index of 70, open the certificate, print it or save it as PDF, and show the link on your website.

14 External audit and audit certificate

For: Account owner, paid plan

  1. WHERE“QET Index badge” menu, “Audit requests” section

    HOWAn auditor approved by QET requests the audit. With “Consent” you approve it, with “Decline” you do not. You can withdraw your consent.

  2. WHEREAfter the audit

    HOWQET reviews the result and releases the certificate (number QET-A-year-sequential number, valid for 12 months). You can then open, print or save it as PDF in the “Audit certificate (external audit)” section.

15 Book a plan and manage your subscription

For: Account owner

  1. WHERE“Upgrade plan” button (for example under “Team”)

    HOWChoose the number of participants and monthly or annual payment, then pay. From 49 € net per participant per month, the more seats, the lower the price. From 1000 participants, we offer a quote on request.

  2. WHERE“Manage subscription” button

    HOWChange seats, view invoices or cancel. After your subscription ends, your account continues on the free plan.
